Haier washer Err7 code: motor fault

The washer detected a problem with the drum motor. Haier lists motor overheat protection, a bad wire connection or a failed motor, and advises unplugging the washer and calling for service.

How to fix the Err7 code

Unplug the washer or switch it off at the breaker before removing any panel or filter.

   Step 1: Unplug and turn off the water

   Unplug the washer and close the water tap, as Haier advises.

   Step 2: Let the motor cool

   Leave the washer off for at least 30 minutes. If the motor overheated, it may work again once it cools.

   Step 3: Check the drum turns freely

   Once any water is drained, turn the drum by hand. It should spin smoothly. Remove items stuck between the drum and the tub if you can see them.

   Step 4: Try a small load

   Plug in and run a short cycle with a light load. If Err7 appears again, stop and book a repair.
