Haier washer Err1 code: door not locked

The washer could not lock the door before starting, so the door lock icon does not light and the cycle will not begin. Usually the door is not fully shut or clothing is caught in the seal.

How to fix the Err1 code

Unplug the washer or switch it off at the breaker before removing any panel or filter.

   Step 1: Open and close the door firmly

   Open the door, then push it closed until you hear it click. Press Start/Pause again.

   Run your hand around the rubber seal and pull out any clothing caught in it. Wipe away lint or detergent build-up near the latch.

   Place a level on top of the washer. Adjust the front feet until it sits flat and does not rock, then try closing the door again.
