GE refrigerator 0F 0F code: demo (showroom) mode

The refrigerator is in demo mode. Lights and controls work but the cooling is turned off. It is common on new installs straight from a showroom.

How to fix the 0F 0F code

Unplug the refrigerator or switch it off at the breaker before removing any panel or filter.

   Step 1: Try a power reset

   Unplug the refrigerator for 1 to 2 minutes, then plug it back in. On some models this ends demo mode.

   Step 2: Use the button combination

   Controls outside the door: hold Energy Saver and Adjust Freezer for 3 seconds. Controls inside the fridge: hold Ice Off and Freezer for 3 seconds.

   Step 3: LCD touch screen models

   Hold Lock Controls and Precise Fill for 5 seconds, then press Yes. If that does not work, try Freezer, Refrigerator and Crushed for 5 seconds.

   Step 4: Set the temperatures

   A beep sounds and 0F 0F disappears when demo mode ends. Set the fridge to 37°F and the freezer to 0°F and allow 24 hours to cool.
