- Water inlet valve stuck open
- Faulty water level (pressure) sensor
- Clogged or disconnected pressure sensor hose
- Excess suds confusing the level sensor
How to fix the OC code
Unplug the washer or switch it off at the breaker before removing any panel or filter.
Step 1: Turn off the water and unplug
Close both taps behind the washer first, then unplug it. This stops any further filling.
Step 2: Drain the washer
Use the emergency drain tube behind the bottom front panel on front-loaders, or run Drain/Spin once plugged in with the taps still closed.
Step 3: Check for an inlet valve that stays open
With the washer unplugged, open the taps briefly. If water flows into the drum while it has no power, the inlet valve is stuck and must be replaced.
Step 4: Rule out suds
If the drum was full of foam, run a Rinse cycle and use less HE detergent next time.
You'll need: Towels, bucket.
