- Divider not pushed all the way to the back
- Divider in the wrong rack position
- Divider inserted or removed after cooking started
- Something pressing the divider switch at the back of the oven
- Faulty divider switch
How to fix the -dC- code
Unplug the oven or switch it off at the breaker before removing any panel or filter.
Step 1: Turn the oven off and let it cool
The divider gets hot. Turn the oven off and use oven mitts, or wait until it cools, before handling it.
Step 2: Reinstall the divider
Pull the divider out and slide it back in until it is fully pushed in. Samsung says to use the third position from the top on electric and dual fuel models, and the fourth on gas models.
Step 3: Clear the switch if not using the divider
If you are cooking without the divider, check that nothing such as a pan or foil is pressing the divider switch at the back of the oven.
Step 4: Restart the cook
Choose single or dual cooking to match whether the divider is fitted, then start again. Reset the breaker for 30 seconds if the code stays.
You'll need: Oven mitts.

Common questions
›Is -dE- the same as -dC- on a Samsung oven?
Yes. Samsung lists both codes for a divider that is not installed properly.
›Can I take the divider out while cooking in Dual mode?
No. Removing or adding the divider during cooking triggers this code. Finish or cancel the cook first.
